NOTICE TO BIDDERS


The City of Garden City Water Department is soliciting bids for the installation of a fence at Water Pump Station No. 2, Campus and Harding Water Booster Station, and Electric Substation #7. Sealed bids are to be returned by 10:00 AM CDT, Monday, February 26, 2018, at the Utility Service Center, 140 Harvest St., PO Box 998, Garden City, KS 67846 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.

The work consists of the installation of a fence surrounding a 4 million gallon potable water reservoir and, at a separate location, fencing around an electrical substation and water pumping station. Specifications are attached to this document or at www.garden-city.org. Bid sheets and specifications are available at the Utility Service Center, 140 Harvest St. Garden City, KS.

The City will accept electronic bids via email. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The City reserves the rights to reject any or all bids, waive informalities and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

Bids must be sealed, addressed to Fred Jones, Water Resource Manager, Garden City, Kansas, and endorsed on the envelope: “Pump Station No. 2 Fence". If sending the bid via email: fred.jones@gardencityks.us . Bidders are highly encouraged to confirm electronic submission of bids via read receipt or by phone.
