DEVELOPMENT OF SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY:
The City of Garden City is requesting Development Proposals for two parcels of surplus City property. Letters of Intent to Submit will be received at the City Engineer’s Office, 301 N. 8th Street, Garden City, Kansas, until 2:00 p.m., July 31, 2009. Presentations to the City Commission will then be schedule for the week of September 14, 2009.
- Parcel No. 1 is located at the southeast corner of Campus and Shortgrass.
- Parcel No. 2 is located at the northeast corner of Mary and Fleming.
The proposal documents may be obtained from the City Engineer's Office. The development proposals will be evaluated by the City Commission. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal(s) deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The documents are also available electronically. A pre-submittal information meeting will be held at 10:00 am, June 16, 2009 in the second floor meeting room at the City Administrative Center, 301 N. 8th Street, to answer any questions.
FINNUP DRIVE WALKING TRAIL:
Sealed bids for Finnup Drive Walking Trail – Phase 1 for the City of Garden City, will be received at the City Engineer's Office, 301 N. 8th Street, Garden City, Kansas, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.
The project consists of construction of an 8’ wide asphalt pathway and signage.
The Contract documents may be obtained from the City Engineer's. Contract documents are also available by email. Email scottrell@garden-city.org for further information.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, or a certified cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid.
SOUTH MAIN STREET PATHWAY:
Sealed bids for South Main Street Pathway Project No. 28 TE-0294-01 for the City of Garden City, will be received at the City Engineer's Office, 301 N. 8th Street, Garden City, Kansas, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.
The project consists of construction of asphalt pathway, concrete sidewalk, signage, landscaping, irrigation and related items.
