Purpose
The purpose of the Youth Council is to advise the governing body on issues related to or affecting youth in Garden City and further to motivate all young people to help build up the Garden City community; to help the youth of Garden City aspire to become successful leaders; and to encourage local youth in their efforts to bring about change for the betterment of the community. Membership shall reflect the diverse ethnic composition of the community, ages 15 to 18, grades 10 through 12, and the terms of their service will run until their high school graduation. Resolution No. 1973 establishes this board. Please fill out an Advisory Board Application if you are interested in serving on a council.
