Garden City to Show Potholes Who's Boss
The Public Works Department will be repairing potholes throughout Garden City in the coming weeks. Due to heavy snow and freezing temperatures this past winter, there are approximately 137 potholes scattered across the streets and 240-250 tons of asphalt needed to complete the project.
The Department has sectioned the city into six cycles and will begin repairing cycle six as it was already on the schedule to be chipped and resealed this year. They will then move forward in numeric order with the remaining cycles. It is estimated the project will take about a month and a half to complete if all goes as planned.
Please be aware that as crews are out working to fill the potholes, roads may be partially closed for a short period of time.
Provided is a map with cycle boundaries and identified potholes. The spreadsheet provides exact locations of each pothole for residents to reference. As potholes are filled we will continue to update the map and spreadsheet to indicate the completion of that area and provide the most up-to-date information with regards to the project.
Residents are encouraged to report potholes not listed on the spreadsheet to Rhonda Griffin, 620-276-1260.
