Sealed bids subject to the conditions and provisions presented herein will be received until 3:00 PM (CDT) on Monday, June 10th, 2019, and then publicly opened and read in the Conference Room of the Garden City Regional Airport, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for the Rotating Beacon Replacement Project.
Copies of the plans and specifications and wage rate are on file and may be inspected at:

Hard copies of plans and specifications and wage rate decision may be obtained from the Consulting Engineer upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $75.00. Electronic copies are available upon request for free. A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:30 PM (CDT) Wednesday, May 29th, 2019 in the Conference Room of the Garden City Regional Airport, 2225 S Air Service Road, Suite 112. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Garden City, Kansas.
Bids may be held by the City of Garden City, Kansas for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract.
The City of Garden City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.
Award of contract is also subject to the following Federal provisions:
