Valley View Cemetery Irrigation System Improvements



Sealed Bids for the construction of the irrigation system improvements will be received by City of Garden City (OWNER) at the Public Works office at 301 N. 8th Street, Garden City, KS 67846, until 10:00 AM local time on June 28, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.


The Project is generally described as an irrigation system improvement project as follows:  Approximately 44,400 lin. ft. of irrigation line (1” through 6”), 383 rotor heads, 36 valves, 70 surge protections, 6 air relief assemblies, other misc. irrigation items, erosion control, and other items of work.


Bidding Documents in electronic Adobe Portable Document Format (pdf) can be viewed or downloaded through the online Plan Room at at no charge.  Printed copies must be arranged independently by the prospective bidder.  Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. must register or log-in to view and/or download Bidding Documents.  Complete sets of Bidding Documents must be used in preparing Bids; neither OWNER nor ENGINEER assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents.  For any questions regarding ordering or viewing of the Bidding Documents please contact the following:

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held June 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm local time, initially at City Hall, 301 N. 8th Street, proceeded by an on-site visit to Valley View Cemetery at 2900 North Main St.  


Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid.  No bidder may withdraw his bid as stated in the Project Manual.  The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
